Practical Advice and Insights

The process of change is a creative process and this is what’s good to know about it!

  • One. The creative process is circular and not linear.

  • Two. There is no rush.

  • Three. It’s about progress, not perfection.

Sometimes an exercise will take you 15 minutes and another day it might take you 2 hours or more. It’s simply what it is.

Your Subconscious Mind

It's important to give yourself enough time for the entire process, and here's another great reason why. As you embark on this journey, your subconscious mind will provide you with answers even when you're not actively working on a specific exercise or question. Your mind, heart, and soul will surprise you with insights when you least expect it, whether you're taking a shower, doing chores, chatting with a friend, or commuting to work. Remember to pay attention to the signals your subconscious mind sends you. Take mental notes or, even better, jot them down in a notebook!

Meaning of Change

Perhaps take some time to answer the following questions, sit with them, listen to the answers. Let them flow out of you. There is no right or wrong.

  • What does change mean to you? Feel free to look up the definition or define it yourself.

  • What do you feel when you think about change?

  • What do you struggle with when it comes to the topic of change? Is it about changing a situation, a feeling, a thought or maybe a habit or behaviour?

  • What are you hoping to get out of the exercises?

  • How much time are you willing to spend on the exercises per week?

  • Can you dedicate time in your agenda for this course? Perhaps plan it, so you keep staying on track. It is also advisable to do at least one blog (exercise) per week.

It’s a process!

Remember too, it’s a process and it is never completely finished. It’s therefore essential to keep on revisiting your goals and also the role you wish to play in reaching them during this process of change. Here are a few more questions to ask yourself:

  • What can I do to keep myself motivated during the process?

  • How can others also benefit from this in the future?

  • To what extend am I dedicated to reach my goals?

Like I said already: Allow yourself time. Really do take that time. Thank you for completing today’s answers in the ‘Create With Ease’ blog. It’s important to know why you are here and why you are doing these exercises.

Words of Encouragement

There is no magic formula and there are no easy fixes. However, with patience, determination and perseverance you will get a very long way. Use those character traits whilst moving forward on your path and let yourself sparkle and shine. Just like we love saying: Be Bold. Be Brave, Be Wicked and show your bigger-than-life side to the world.

➳ Let’s begin …

  • Do. ☼. Reread the blog and answer the given prompts. Perhaps create a mind-map by putting the central theme in the middle of the page and then add the other topics around this main theme. Write down your answers from today and throughout the weeks keep adding your answers to this mind-map.

  • Take notes. ☼ Consider going back to the beginning of the blog and giving it another read. Jot down any thoughts that come to mind as you learn about creating with ease.

  • Anything else? ☼ Anything that bubbled up to surface in your body, heart or mind whilst reading this blog, write it down. Go and have a break and go to the next blog when you’re in the right mood to continue your exploration.
